Program Description

Unconscious bias refers to a bias that typically occurs beyond the control of our consciousness, so many people are unaware of them. These biases are formed during our early socialization and are reconditioned through numerous social avenues. It is a prejudgment that affects how we perceive and interact with others based on our social conditioning. Unfortunately, we bring these biases into the workplace and they play a major role in our decision-making. Unconscious bias has the ability to disrupt the cohesion, productivity, and performance within a work environment. People often wonder, how can someone prepare for something they are unaware of? The best way to address this dilemma, is to make yourself aware of these biases that negatively impact relationships.

In this training, Stephon Williams will provide invaluable insight about this phenomenon, that will enable you to understand unconscious biases; their impact on interpersonal relationships within the workplace; and how to utilize this new awareness to enhance employee engagement.
